A style revolution at Cersaie 2016 with the new Leonardo collections.
Every year the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings marks a turning point with the past by stimulating changes in products that stand out for their excellence, technology and innovation. It is the ideal environment for futuristic spirits like Leonardo Evolutions-Tile, which demonstrated at Cersaie its ability to be a genuine Creative Lab for Designers and Architects.
But how are innovative ceramic products created?
The design process of Leonardo projects are all distinguished by the values of technical brilliance, essential design and character. Three fundamental qualities that combine to create products that are meticulous, reliable and boast a clean-cut, international style.
District. A new, unusual and contemporary mood for interiors and exteriors
District explores the aesthetics of sheet metal.
In this new collection, technical brilliance is embodied by versatile, high performance porcelain stoneware, essential design by an urban style featuring contemporary colours and materials, and character by the base that features cast-iron effects reproduced in stoneware with a distinctive industrial style. In this metal-effect stoneware surface flaws, dents and buckles - visible only when seen against the light - refract and play with light, while the formats offer endless possibilities for creating highly original installations.
District comes in four modern colours: the black of burnished steel, the dark rust brown of weathering steel, the light grey of sheet aluminium and the white of enamel. The collection includes surfaces for normal tiles and strip decorations that embellish walls like tiny jewels. This new mood for unusual and contemporary interiors and exteriors satisfies the needs of designers wishing to create futuristic spaces, ranging from light retail contexts, such as showrooms and exclusive clubs, to the home design dreams of people with an eccentric and cosmopolitan spirit, who are finally free to decorate their living areas, kitchens and bedrooms in an exquisitely metropolitan style.
Factory. Technical brilliance that frees the designer's creativity
Factory explores the aesthetics of rugs, mats and tatami.
The technical brilliance of this new project lies in its use of full-bodied porcelain stoneware that is perfect for both indoors and outdoors. Its essential design is demonstrated in its minimalist formats and its character in its carpet effect base.
This industrial cement-effect stoneware combines the distinctive and prestigious look of a rug, mat or tatami with the performance of full-bodied stoneware.
The collection's special structure takes inspiration from the formwork used by builders to mould cement, and the toned down colour of the surfaces - very slight on the individual tiles - becomes clear when the floor is finished. This is an effect that enhances the idea that tiles are a semi-finished product that only becomes a finished item when the entire floor is laid.
Factory comes in four different tones, beige, white, grey and dark grey and formats that adapt to every design requirement and furnish the interiors and exteriors of both residential and light retail environments with essential, minimalist style and real design creativity.
